Blessings in a Simple Life
There are tiny glimpses of miracles everyday in life; I am writing this blog as a way to keep track of the simple joys that God has given me in an ordinary day.

I wanted to post this picture, too, because I absolutely love this one. My kids truly are best pals. They are constantly huigging, snuggling, giggling, playing, romping, and any other fun activity they can do together. We are so blessed that they get along so fabulously. They have their moments, but what two kids don't? In between thise moments, I just enjoy seeing my two little bits loving each other and being thankful for their sibling.

Well, my baby girl is now five years old. That's right, the big five. Half of ten. One third of fifteen. She went through her kindergarten screening and will be in the accelerated learning program since she already knows all the kindergarten curriculum. Her birthday day was filled with all things Abby. She chose to go to Dos Amigos for lunch, Blowing Rock to shop and play at the Blowing Rock Park, brussel sprouts and chicken tenders for dinner, Tinkerbell cake, and of course, presents with mom, Dad, and Aiden. She is into horses, books, Tinkerbell, and the Littlest PetShop critters. She is almost fifty pounds and wears a size 6x/7 because she is so LONG. Yeah, she is getting to be a big girl really quickly! Her docs think she will be about 5'8" when she is finished growing. Here are a couple pics from the festivities:
At Dos Amigos, enjoying enchiladas, frijoles, y una sopapilla.
In Blowing Rock, outside the Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway.
Aiden smelling the flowers in Blowing Rock.
Littlest PetShop from "Sassy".

After the birthday festivities at Nana's, Aiden helped Grampa stack wood.

We have all heard that saying, "She's growing like a weed". I did not quite understand the saying to its full meaning until I had my own yard, and two growing babies. Both of my children have taken massive strides in physical and mental development lately. Abigail turned on May2 and went to her pre-kindergarten screening and assessment. She is above kindergarten level, but we opted to keepp her in kindergarten this fall. Parkway School has many "advanced learning" programs, so we felt it would be best for her in the long run since she will be one of the younger graduates in high school. Aiden is recognizing his letters and reading many site words. He is definitely a visual learner, we have discovered. His speech continues to improve and his motor skills are very advanced for his age. I downloaded some pics onto Wes' laptop so I could post a few so you can see how big my babies are getting. I hope you enjoy them!
