Blessings in a Simple Life
There are tiny glimpses of miracles everyday in life; I am writing this blog as a way to keep track of the simple joys that God has given me in an ordinary day.

Well, my baby boy is turning three this Monday. We have had to cancel his party, which was supposed to be today, because we are all a bit sick. The poor boy has had to celebrate his birthday late every year thus far due to the sickies. Abigail was diagnosed with pneumonia again this past week, and Aiden and I have a cold, so we thought it best to just do it late again. Abigail is doing ok so far. We caught it very early this time around, so we are hopeful that she can fight it this year. She is back on antibiotics, decongestants, and breathing treatments, but is full of energy and is fever-less. Please say a little prayer for her that it won't become the mess we had last January. I am trying to plan out what we will do for the little guy in the meantime. I am thinking of doing a Thomas the Train cake, but as to the whole party, no clue. I told mom we might just open his presents and do the cake here, just us, and have a party with his little friends and exyended family in the summer. I told mom that if we do that, I am going to have a Goo Party for him. I'll get three of the little blow-up ring pools, fill one with mud, one with Jello, and one with warm water and foam soap and let the kids squoosh around in them. We'll do the blind-folded "What does this feel like?" game, with spaghetti noodles, and other fun-feely things. If I do this in the summer, let me know if you guys have any ideas for that sort of party. I will definitely do the mud cake with gummy worms for that one! In the meantime, you are in my prayers. I hope you are all well and happy!
