Blessings in a Simple Life
There are tiny glimpses of miracles everyday in life; I am writing this blog as a way to keep track of the simple joys that God has given me in an ordinary day.

Yesterday was busy with errands and wrangling two children while doing those errands. We had a couple pit stops for Abigail to potty (hurray, no more diapers during the day!), so it took a little longer than usual. However, in the midst of this busy day, I got to see something that absolutely fascinated me. You all might think I am weird to find it so interesting, but it really did capture my attention. There are a few different "styles" of grasshoppers, and yesterday one of the bigger, tan colored, not-so-pretty ones was on the hood of my car as we started out our day. We have a 20 minute or so drive to town, most of which I drive at 60-65 MPH. This grasshopper rode my hood the whole way, never jumping, flying, or getting blown off. We went to one bank, a few stores, another bank, and ran all of our errands. The little grasshopper held on to the hood of my car the whole day and did not jump off until we got back home and parked in the driveway. I never realized how aerodynamic they were, nor how strong their little legs and feet are. I just thought I'd share my new-found respect for this small creation! I hope everyone is having a great day! Don't forget to pay attention to the small things!
