Blessings in a Simple Life
There are tiny glimpses of miracles everyday in life; I am writing this blog as a way to keep track of the simple joys that God has given me in an ordinary day.

So I have gotten a lot of messages wanting to know where I have been. Honestly? I have been so crazy busy, ya'll.

Abigail is doing AWESOME in school. I am doing my best to be a cool mom for her, being Spirit Mom at Chik-Fil-A, helping with the Fall Festival, chaperoning field trips, bringing extra snacks...She is keeping me busy! I can't imagine how crazy it will be once she starts sports! Ab is the first kindergartener to do the pledge over the intercom for the school in the morning and she is so proud of herself for that, as are we.

Speaking of school, Wes doubled his course load for this semester, so if I have a spare moment, it is spent studying his books so I can tutor him through (because of his dyslexia.) It is very challenging to me. Not just to learn his subjects in one week, then teach it the next week, but the teaching aspect is difficult because Wes and I are so very different. We can hear/read the same simple sentence and get two entirely different meanings from it. CHALLENGING! We are currently writing a history paper, studying for his Hist. and Psych exams, and getting ready for his next expository writing essay. Keep us in your prayers!!

This weekend is also Wes' 30th birthday. I am taking him to Hickory for a big dinner surprise, I just hope he enjoys it. We were able to get him a new truck (Badly needed!) for his birthday, too. I'm glad I finally found one that he liked, was in great shape, low mileage, and not priced so high that it hurt!

Aiden is finally growing a bit. He will be four in January, and is just now starting to wear his 3T pants. The 4T shirts are a bit big still, and the 3T shirts are getting short, so I figure we have another two months or so until he goes up in shirt sizes. I have been taking him to see Tammy Gragg twice a week for therapy. Aiden has been diagnosed as having Sensory Integration Dysfunction, OCD, and Auditory Processing Deficiency. When you combine all three, it makes for frustrating days and no way to discipline. I know some of you moms deal with much more difficult issues, and I promise, I pray for God to bless you each every day. It might be hard, and there are times when I feel my patience weaning, but I cannot show you a more loving boy, and I am so richly blessed to have him.

I also have had some doctor appointments. I had a few biopsies done, which came back as "pre-cancerous, abnormal growth cells". Sooooo, I am going to have a little, tiny outpatient surgery. I promise, nothing to be concerned with.

The Fall children's consignment went very well last month. The new location allowed for it to stay open for a month rather than 10 days, so there was a crazy amount sold and our donatiolns were great for local charities. I worked as an "employee" of the sale for the month, and it truly opened my eyes to see that I cannot do all of my mommy-work AND work. I am still desparately trying to catch up on housework and sleep.

I hope you are all doing well. I will do my best to catch up with all of your blog posts and sweet messages. You all remain in my prayers. XOXO
